Welcome to the ODOT Region 1 STIP website. The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program – the STIP for short – is Oregon’s ongoing program to preserve and develop our state’s road, public transit, bike and pedestrian systems. The STIP outlines our transportation priorities for the next four years, and is updated every two years to keep it current. The STIP is developed with help from the public, local government and community partners, and transportation stakeholders.

ODOT Region 1 encompasses all of Hood River and Multnomah counties, as well as most of Clackamas and Washington counties. The Region has the largest population in the state, as Oregon’s largest city and three of the state’s other ten larger cities (Beaverton, Gresham, and Hillsboro) lie within it. In addition, Oregon’s largest port district, intermodal freight terminals, and the state’s only international airport also are within Region 1.

Did you know? ODOT Region 1 owns and maintains over 1,700 bridges and 850 miles of road (2,100 lane miles)!
